Your pro rider

Ride with the best

Learn, ride and connect with Justin Chait, world champion from the Dubai eFoil Championships and number one in the world on a Fliteboard.

Justin is on the water with you twice a day for the full week. Sunrise sessions, coaching, and video analysis on every rider so you can actually see what you are doing and fix it before the next session. Beginners get airborne. Experienced riders get faster, and get the technical detail nobody puts on YouTube.

Ride with Justin

If you have never ridden

What eFoiling is

An eFoil is a board with an electric motor and a wing beneath it. Up to speed the wing lifts the board clear of the water and you ride above the surface. You steer with your weight and control the speed with a handheld throttle. Beginners are welcome on this trip and the coaching is built around getting you flying.

THE WATER

Warm, flat and protected

The Leeward channel is warm, clear, protected and empty. It is about the easiest place in the world to learn.

THE COACHING

Two sessions a day, on video

Justin is on the water twice a day for the full week, and every rider gets video analysis so you can see what you are doing and fix it before the next session.

THE SAFETY

In good hands

You are in the hands of experienced professionals who run this water every day. Full-wrap helmets, PFDs, radio guidance and instructors trained in water safety and first aid, with rescue boats on the long rides to Fort George Cay and Grace Bay.

New for T.F.X. II

Wakeboard, wakesurf, wakefoil

Two full afternoons behind the boat with Mark de Fraine of Wake to Wake on their new Mastercraft boats. Perfect wake, flat morning water and a crew who coach for a living.

Wakeboard if you want the air. Wakesurf if you want the endless ride with no rope. Wakefoil if you want to carry what you have learned on the eFoil into a whole new feeling. All three are included, all gear provided, and total beginners are genuinely welcome.

Included with your week

Electric bikes on the island

Every guest gets an electric bike for the week, included in the price. Between Flight Central and Flight Deck, down to the beach at the far end of Leeward, over to happy hour, back for dinner.

No taxis, no waiting, no arranging anything. Everything on the schedule is within easy reach, and getting between it is one less thing to think about.

See what else is included

eFoil in paradise

Set in the turquoise water and white sand beaches of Turks and Caicos, T.F.X. is adventure and luxury in the same week. High end villas, food that people talk about long after they have gone home, and excursions you could not book yourself if you tried.

The Leeward channel is the reason this event exists. Warm, clear, protected, and empty. You will fly across water you can see the bottom of at speed, with a rescue boat, a drone and a camera on you the whole time.

Three meals a day, all week

Fed properly by Caicos Catering

All guests are fed three times a day by Caicos Catering, one of the best catering outfits in the Turks and Caicos, with years of private events, weddings and celebrations behind them.

Local flavours and international favourites, breakfast before the first ride, box lunches on the beach when the day runs long, and a proper elegant dinner to finish the week. You are riding hard for six days. The food is not an afterthought.

The destination

Why Turks and Caicos

The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory of roughly forty islands, eight of them inhabited, sitting at the south-eastern end of the Bahamas chain. Providenciales is the main island and the one you fly into. It is a mature luxury destination with none of the mega-resort noise, and it happens to sit on some of the best flat water in the world.

For eFoiling that combination is unusual. Warm shallow banks, a barrier reef that kills the swell before it reaches you, and a protected channel you can ride all day without meeting traffic. Most Caribbean islands give you two of those three.

Aerial view of Leeward, Providenciales, and the turquoise channel

The reef does the work

The Turks and Caicos barrier reef, widely described as the third largest in the world, runs about a mile off the north shore of Providenciales. It takes the ocean swell before it reaches the coast, which is why the water inshore stays flat on days when everywhere else is unrideable.

Grace Bay

Seven and a half miles of white sand inside the Princess Alexandra National Park, and repeatedly voted the best beach in the world, including the top spot in TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice awards. You ride the length of it on the Friday.

The Leeward channel

At the eastern end of the island, between Providenciales and the cays. Warm, clear, protected and empty. This is the reason the event is based where it is, and it is where you will spend most of the week.

Easy to arrive

Providenciales International (PLS) has direct service from a long list of North American cities and seasonal service from London. The currency is the US dollar, the language is English, and the clock is on Eastern time.

The water

Where you ride

Three rides define the week: the run out to Fort George Cay, the timed heats to the Shipwreck, and the long ride down Grace Bay. All of it starts from Leeward.

Practicalities

Late September in Leeward

Warm water, light morning wind and a protected channel. The last week of September is one of the quietest weeks on the island, which is exactly why the water is empty and why we chose these dates.

On the water

Doug sets each day around wind and tide, so the schedule moves with the conditions and you always ride the best water available. Rescue boats cover every long ride.

Cover

We recommend travel insurance, as we would for any trip of this length. Cancel at least 15 days before the start date and the full amount paid is refunded.

Getting here

Fly into Providenciales International (PLS), which has direct service from several North American and UK cities. Leeward is at the eastern end of the island. Transfers to PLS on departure day are handled for you.
